Fabric choice
Lightweight to heavyweight woven fabrics, such as cotton, linen, viscose, tencel, cupro, silk, polyester, etc., in poplin, twill, crepe, satin, etc. The Etoile dress can be made in English embroidery (with a lining), brocade, or even lightweight denim. If your fabric is thick, you may need to add a little extra ease or go up a size.
Notions
1.09 yard (1 meter) of interfacing for facings. 11 small buttons (7/16’’ or 11mm), matching thread for your fabric, a machine needle matching your fabric type, a marking pen, scissors and pins.
Sewing level
Confident beginner (2/5). If you have sewn a garment on your own before and know how to read a pattern and its instructions, you will have no difficulty making this dress. If you have never made buttonholes before, practice on scraps of fabric first—it’s easy to learn! Sleeves A are beginner-level, while sleeves B and C are slightly more complex.
Required fabric length
The amount of fabric required is calculated with a small safety margin of 4 to 6 inches (10 to 15cm). Increase quantity for pattern matching if your fabric has a pattern on it.

Fantastic pattern, very feminine. Inlike all the three options of sleeves. The pattern paper is strong and easy to use, the instructions are very clear with lots of pictures.
Got my pattern just few days ago and I am going to use it to a cotton fabric and to a linen fabric. And the top of the pattern can easily be used for blouses.
Five stars to this great pattern!

Finally, a pattern that fits me well out of the bag. (Great if you’re also taller or have a long torso!) The instructions are straightforward, so I could make a few deviations but return pretty easily if I got stuck. Love that important places like bust apex, waistline, hipline, etc are already marked since this makes alterations easier. Could use a little more ease in the hips, but it’s also easy to grade up a size.
